The brand was inspired by honoring our culture and our Mexican artisans. Chélaam's name comes from a combination of Mayan words that have a very special meaning.
The first of these is:
Ché: This part of the name comes from Ixchél (Mayan Goddess of the Moon, Water, crafts and Childbirth.)
Laam: This second part of our brand name comes from Balaam (Name of one of the greatest representatives of the Mayan culture. The Jaguar)
Vision
Chélaam was created to support Mexican artisans, to provide a source of support helping them improve their economy and creating a platform to offer their products. Chélaam wants to have an international reach where we can publicize the crafts that represent our country, culture, and artisans. I can honestly say that the products we have at Chélaam are unique, of high quality, and each piece is made with the hearts of artisans. We are a company that has the responsibility to please our customers with each product purchased.
Mision
At Chélaam our mission is that our clients can have a high-quality product made by artisans who represent their place of origin. That every time they acquire products that they can only find in Chélaam, they are transported to their place of origin and feel that warmth of home and with the happiness of seeing something made with love.
